About
The Acei Cichlid is a popular and peaceful mbuna from Lake Malawi known for its striking purple-blue body and vivid yellow fins. Unlike most mbuna, Acei are not rock dwellers — they are found in open water near submerged wood, grazing on algae. They are schooling fish that do best in groups of 6 or more, and are among the more docile mbuna, making them a great choice for community Malawi setups.
