The Angelfish Cichlid, commonly known as Angelfish, is a popular freshwater cichlid admired for its distinct triangular body shape and flowing fins. Native to the Amazon Basin, these elegant fish come in various color patterns and fin types through selective breeding. While generally peaceful in a community tank with similarly sized fish, they can become territorial, especially during breeding, and may prey on very small fish. They thrive in well-planted tanks with calm water and good filtration.
