About

The L81 Gold Nugget Pleco is a highly sought-after freshwater catfish originating from the Rio Xingu in Brazil. Known for its striking appearance, it features a dark body adorned with bright yellow or gold spots and often yellow margins on its fins. These plecos are omnivores, primarily feeding on biofilm, algae, and small invertebrates. They are generally peaceful but can be territorial towards other bottom-dwelling fish, especially other plecos. They require a well-oxygenated tank with plenty of hiding spots like caves and driftwood. L18 features large spots and bright yellow fin seams. L81 possesses much smaller, more numerous, and often paler spots
