The L183 Starlight Bristlenose Pleco is a popular and peaceful bottom-dwelling catfish known for its striking white/blue spots on a dark body, especially vibrant on younger fish. Males develop prominent 'bristles' on their snout. They are excellent algae eaters and suitable for community aquariums. L181 vs L183: as adults, L181 keeps the white spots but loses white tips fins. L183 loses brightness of white spots and keeps white tips on fins
