About
The Leleupi Cichlid is a vibrant, torpedo-shaped fish endemic to Lake Tanganyika in Africa. Known for its striking yellow to orange coloration, it is a territorial and predatory species that thrives in rocky environments with plenty of caves and hiding spots. They are generally peaceful towards other species if given enough space, but can be aggressive towards conspecifics or similar-looking fish. They are best kept in a species-specific tank or a large Tanganyikan setup.
