The Oscar Cichlid is a large, intelligent, and highly personable freshwater fish known for its striking appearance and interactive behavior. They can become very tame and recognize their owners, often displaying unique personalities. Oscars require a spacious tank with robust filtration due to their size and waste production. They are generally peaceful towards similarly sized tank mates but can be aggressive towards smaller fish or during breeding.
