About

The Salvini Cichlid is a vibrant and highly aggressive Central American cichlid, known for its striking yellow and black patterning, often with red or orange fins. They are territorial and can be very dominant, especially during breeding. Due to their aggressive nature, they are best kept with other robust cichlids of similar size and temperament, or in a species-only tank. They require a spacious aquarium with plenty of hiding spots and sturdy decor, as they are known diggers. Water quality is paramount for their health.
