About

The L181 Peppermint Bristlenose Pleco is a popular and peaceful bottom-dwelling catfish, recognized for its dark body adorned with white or yellow spots. Males develop distinct 'bristles' on their snouts. They are excellent algae eaters and generally hardy, making them suitable for community aquariums. They thrive in tanks with plenty of hiding spots, such as driftwood and caves, and good water flow. Being nocturnal, they are most active during the night. L181 vs L183: as adults, L181 keeps the white spots but loses white tips fins. L183 loses brightness of white spots and keeps white tips on fins
