The Mdoka White Lip, or Placidochromis phenochilus 'Mdoka', is a stunning cichlid from Lake Malawi. Males develop a brilliant blue body coloration and characteristic white lips, especially prominent during breeding. They are generally peaceful compared to other Lake Malawi cichlids, but can be territorial. They are substrate spawners and mouthbrooders.
