OB Peacock Cichlid

Aulonocara sp. "OB" refers to a color variant of the Peacock cichlid, native to Lake Malawi in Africa. These cichlids are known for their vibrant coloration, particularly the males, and their relatively peaceful nature compared to some other Lake Malawi cichlids, though they can be aggressive towards similar-looking males or during breeding. They are substrate sifting insectivores, often sifting sand for small invertebrates in the wild. In an aquarium, a varied diet including high-quality cichlid pellets, flakes, and occasional frozen foods is recommended. Aulonocara thrive in rocky aquascapes with plenty of open swimming space and sandy substrate.
